Frantage anyone?

Tee hee that sounds a bit funny but basically at the Craft Barn the design team have all this week been playing with Frantage.
Welcome here, I hope you are well and it's SATURDAY oh Yeah always a good day!!! I'm off  for a wonderful day at the Craft Barn Extravaganza, wahoo 2 whole days of crafting goodness. So much to see and I get to watch all the brilliant demos by crafting legends, have you been before? Well worth a visit if you can get there!!!

There are many ways to use embossing powders but I chose to triple emboss a die cut. When it was cool I stamped an image on the top in Stazon. I didn't like the result so I reheated the EP and swirled the design with my pokey tool and then I was a happy bunny. A great big pearl and some neutral papers and I was done. Thank you for dropping by, Gay xx

Here is a list of the products that I used, sorry it's in a looong list, not really sure how to rectify this,. ah well technology...................................... works most of the time LOL

Paper piecing? Oh yeah! Love it!

Hi there I'm back with a quick card for LIM, this week Chrissie and Mandi have a recipe for us and it's paper piecing :0) Something I do quite often, it's a very effective way of colouring an image. This time I set myself the challenge of not colouring anything at all so I had to paper piece all of my image
That was a bit of a challenge especially with this little guy's hair and skin, well I did do all of the image but I had to add a little rosy glow to his cheeks, some shadows and a little colour to the pieces of paper he was so diligently cutting LOL His scissors are tissue paper with silver embossing and darn fiddly too, the little thumb poking up didn't help LOL You can enlarge the pictures by clicking on them.
This is the sentiment inside, it makes me smile, hope you like my card! I need to check out the LIM challenge now, I've not felt up to taking part lately ( too much stuff to do and a little bit of off colour to contend with) so it's lovely to be getting back in the saddle! Thank you for stopping by, Gay xxx
I use,
Penny Black slapstick stamp and paper from Crate Paper pad called Toy Box Collection.

Seeing double?

Hi there crafty people,
I'm back crafting again with a Stampotique challenge card. This time Stampotique have asked for twin images, well I've had a play

Not sure whether this would make you feel any better if you were off colour but there is quite a bit to look at, it might take your mind off things for a couple of minutes LOL
I got a bit carried away with my deep sea scene but I had the best time, it was just so much fun! Thanks for dropping in:0) Gay x
I used
Octopet by Stampotique and

Lettering?

Hello and I wish you a very happy Saturday, Welcome!!
I'm happy to be at this end of the week because the beginning was horrid for me:{ I've had a bout of food poisoning and I'm so glad I'm all better now but I've missed a lot of my favourite challenges and visiting my favourite crafty people,  I hope that you are all bright eyed and bushy tailed today?

Lettering, mmmm I've often looked at the big lettering around and always thought that would be fun to have my initials up in my crafty space. People don't need to know that it's my space LOL I just liked the idea! So when this opportunity came up at the Craft Barn blog I was really pleased and I have to say I had great fun altering my initials

I have decorated mine with Fresco chalk paint and Tim Holtz Stamps, below you can see them sitting on a window sill in my crafty place. I'm quite pleased how well they sit with the blind :0) I could also hang them on the wall if I need the window sill for something else as some of the walls are white :0)
Thanks for stopping to have look ! Gay xxx

 I used,
Letters G and P
Claudine Hellmuths Gesso
Fresco Chalk paints, Black dress and Snowflake
Tim Holtz Stamps Purely Random, Rockstar and Going Somewhere

Memory Box Dies

Hi Folks, Hope all is good with you? Welcome here and to the weekend, YAY I love the weekends!

At the Craft Barn Blog this week the team have made some lovely samples with the with Memory Box dies.  Oh yes they are beautiful dies, I have used these dies rather a lot since I bought them and I 've made two cards to share today I hope you like them

My first card is using the die as a mask and inking over it. I masked the whole area to be inked first and then finaly added a huge pearl:0)

This next card I used the cut outs to finish the design

This is what I used

InLinkz.com

I embellished my journal cover with the same dies just different coloured embossed velvet paper and a very small die cut in metal.

In which there are ramblings about flourishes and a lovely surprise

Hi Folks,
Welcome here and thanks for stopping by, I hope you're having a good day.
LIM 71 this week is all about One Layer and using flourishes. I have amassed quite a few in fact I'm amazed at how many I have, note to self, don't need any more flourish stamps. The trouble is that there is always a slightly better shape or one with more detail and that becomes the next must have:{ Another note to self, too many stamps must sort them out:{
Anyhoo on to my efforts

This card is a Basic Grey flourish stamped twice with two colours and perfect pearls added for a little added extra :0)

This card is actually intended for Dotty Jo. I was very fortunate and won her blog candy for her Race for Life. This race that she took part in was in honour of a very good friend of hers who  unfortunately was a victim of cancer. Thanks very much Jo and congrats on running the race you are a star!!!

And this is what I won, a voucher to spend at Bunny Zoes,  I really enjoyed choosing these lovely goodies

I am such a lucky bunny, I've used the EZ mount already, so good for unmounted stamps :0) The copic pen is a new one that I 'needed' so much it's a very light warm grey :0 The dies are just scrumptilitious and I can't wait to use them.

When I was up looking after the grandchildren we went with the youngest to a place called Eagle hieghts at Eynsford near Dartford in Kent. They have a collection of birds of prey and owls and many other animals, a camel, cheeta and a giant tortoise to name a few. Whilst there we watched a display of the birds flying over our heads and getting their exercise, it was facinating. The barn owl was my favourite, fabulous birds

If you've lasted this long I thank you for your patience and I hope to be around to visit you very soon:0) Gay xxx
