Fish!!
Hi there Crafty Friends,
Hope all is good with you:D I have made a card for CASology
Great idea for a challenge but when I checked the only decent fish stamps I had had been used already! Okay, thinking cap time... finally came up with this ......
Well he is fishing after all although he is a little sad he is missing someone real bad :D
I used
Stamp by Susana Loves Stamps, 'Monster Chill' I hand drew the rod and used Inktense water colour pencils for the background and Copics for the monster.
It's dreadfully muggy but I'm not complaining at least it's not cold, apparently that'll be for the weekend LOL No wonder we Brits are so obsessed with the weather !!!!
I had a lovely surprise this morning, my card has been showcased over at LIM , it is so lovely when someone likes my cards and always gives me a thrill so thank you Chrissie and Jen xxx
Thanks for stopping over to visit, I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Gay x

Need for great speed here!
Hello there folks, I'm back from my hols and raring to go...........I think :D I hope all is good with you my lovely crafty friends? It has been very changeable weather , we left and the sun was getting warmer and warmer but now I see it went wet again after Sunday, bit of a wash out!!
Well I've had a very quick bash at the one layer challenge at LIM for this week and I'm really rather late, definitely a "Need for Speed"
I know you've seen these stamps before, soorreeeee but no time to choose another now!!!
We've had a great break away from home, a bit of sun, lots of food but just look at what was outside our kitchen window. We were amazed at the beauty of this spectacular flower it was oozing nectar and many gorgeous butterflies visited whilst we were there. I tried to capture them in the photo with no luck :( I'm sure you will know what it is??
To be totally truthful if I hadn't seen the rest of the plant I would have struggled, it is (of course?) a banana plant(tree?)
Edited with big thanks to Di, of Pixie's Crafty Workshop fame yes it's not a banana flower but a Strelitzia, clever you Di :D It was growing up through or very close to the banana which had me fooled. Mind you I have never seen one these colours before.
HERE is a link to a picture online.
It's good to be home again, if only it were a little warmer LOL, thank you for visiting, hugs Gay x
p.s, Thank you for all your comments about cards for men whilst I was away. It appears that my menfolk are not that unique in their indifference to cards. Boring eh???? LOL

All about him!
Hello and welcome to coffee towers, Today I have made a card for a couple of the chaps in our lives, A Dad card and one for a Grand father.
Well I don't know about you but I rarely feel as if I have made a 'good' card for a chap! Talking to the male members of my family it would seem that they aren't particularly bothered about cards anyway LOL So it would seem all my angst is wasted!! Ah well, what do you think? Do your chaps take any interest in their cards? I'd be very interested to know :D
Anyhoo here are my offerings for the Craft Barn this week which is all about men, check out the Craft Barn blog if you have a moment because all week there will be masculine offerings!
Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful day :D Gay xx
(As you are reading this I am off on a short break away ( hopefully:D) so this post is scheduled, I will catch up with you on my return)
I used;
Stamps from IndigoBlu Mr Fan-tash-tic
