Recycling

Hello there,  'Less is More' is a recipe this week and is all about recycling, so I made a simple card
This is at night.......................................and this during a dull day, I love metallic finishes!

Apologies for the poor quality photos in my last 2 posts, the port on the computer for my camera card is broken so I've taken to using the IPad. I have trouble holding it steady so, even if the camera is fine, the user isn't LOL
This is a photograph of the topper that I made and removed from a card, I was not happy with it and it has sat in my recycling box (one of the many) probably for about a year. The whole thing is too big for a CAS card unless it is huge. So I cut them out!
The die cut at the back was left from another project so is also using up left overs.
I used Crafty individuals stamp and IndigoBlu gilding flakes
Die from Memory Box, Tithonia Flourish.
Sentiment a Tim Holtz Remnant Rub 'Words'

No tennis today and footy doesn't start until 5pm, I've been dodging the showers, in and out :D
Have a lovely week everyone, Hugs Gay x
p.s I have been watching 'The 100' anyone seen it? I like a bit of sci-fi / fantasy now and again :D x

'WOOD' !

Hi Crafty people, lovely to see you this thundery, warm, wet day!!
The cue is Wood over at CASology, so I made a card, very simple, just 2 stamps and nothing else
Well that's not quite true I did add some ink to this one, to give my card a little heart, not sure which one I prefer! What do you think?

Stamp by Lavinia Stamps but I just tried to link it up to find that it has been on sale as an end of line and now is sold out :( I love the shape !
The sentiment is from Serendipity Stamps and I got it as part of my winning CASology a little while ago, Thank you CASology for that :D I have been looking for some interesting sentiment stamps for a while.
Thank you again for checking my blog out, I hope you are well, I'll be by to see you soon :D Hugs Gay x

Love is in the air!!

Hi there lovely crafty people, It's all about love, weddings and anniversaries over at Stampotique '153' this week. The lovely Kim is celebrating her 18th wedding anniversary "Congratulations Kim and Hubby" :D
My offering is a puzzle

Literally a puzzle, I had great fun doing this make. A couple of years ago I was visiting a friend whose husband was fitting a new staircase into their hall. I begged for the cutoffs and they kindly gave them to me!! I just loved the shapes and knew that one day I could play with them.
This is the back, where Two sticks are a little scared because the Owls seem to be gathering
and this is the front, when assembled that is......

of course you can put them together any way you choose, :D

Below are the two top pieces just as they are when you put them together, which is just how Smile likes it now that Gooseneck has been modified down to his level, he is a very happy boy!!!
I used acrylic paints with Dylusion ink sprays on the top.
Masks by Crafters Workshop and Tim Holtz
Thank you for looking, hugs Gay x

Celebrating at CASology!!

Hi folks, I am very late for this post but I hope I'm not too late, 100 challenges and celebrating over at CASology, Oh Yeah!!! Congratulations ladies!

My card is a stamp from American Art Stamp ( not Art Impressions as I wrote earlier), by Emerson Quillin 'Here's to being Gorgeous'!! This couple of ladies make me smile every time I get this stamp out, what a fun pair :D
Coloured with Copics, my sentiment  is Tim Holtz
Thank you for visiting :D Gay x

Watercolouring at LIM

Hi lovely crafty people, Today we have sunshine and I have a card for LIM. Water colouring is the theme this week!

My fish is from Judikins, Stamp Addicts  had a  50% sale, it would be rude not to take up the offer  and I have lusted after these fish for a very long time :D
Water coloured background, Chocolate Baroque foliage stamp and a sentiment from Serendipity stamps, my prize from a win at CASology, lucky me :D The sentiment is purposely off centre, just in case you wondered :D The foliage is stamped in Brilliance Peacock for a little glimmer.
Thank you for stopping to look, hugs Gay x

All sentimental over here !!

Hello again folks, Been a bit on the mad side here, hope it's calm and happy with you :D Lovely to see you!
Today I made a card for Stampotique Designer's Challenge, where the lovely Gez wrote
'Hi Gez here, I am delighted to be your hostess for this challenge.. I love sentiments and sayings, they really say it all to me! They make a piece finished! I'd like you to share some of your favourite words with us this week! They can be a main focal point or an embellishment, it's your choice! Say it with words...'
and so to my card

I found the sentiment on Pinterest HERE
I used Angel Boy by Stampotique, originally he was 'in' a one layer card but when I added the sentiment I totally messed it up! I rescued him and now he sits proud of the page. Cutting into the feathers of his wings made him appear 3D on the original one layer card.
Thanks for joining me today! Hugs Gay x

Sentiment stamps from Mama Elephant and Printworks.

I'm escaping the footie, Good Luck to England but I really am not a fan of football :D

Off the edge?

Hello again, When it rains, I like to make cards :D LIM is all about one layered cards that are off the edge, And the lovely Darnell has a new challenge NBUS ie: Never Before Used Schtuff!!! Check it out , lots of laughter and fun at her super playhouse :D
So that's what I did, short and sweet,
I made it this way,
Stamps by Uniko Studio and coloured with Copics, my stems are a combination of hand drawn and a mask from TCW, Mini Live Laugh, Love. So please forgive the fact that they definitely are not botanically correct :D
Sentiment stamp from Tim Holtz, inked and embossed in white detail EP, these are my NBUS, new to me !!

Thank you again for stopping to look, you are most welcome here, Hugs Gay x

Christmas in June, Sorry !!

Hi there, Hope your Saturday has got off to a good start!!
A new Stampotique box today from me, Arwen has challenged us to make a box over at the Stampotique Designers Challenge, here is mine

Gog Lin and his brothers are chasing each other,  little realizing that someone is waiting for them!!! Kitty  ( You don't say? ) has found out who it is, wonder if they'll be surprised :D
I have had the best time creating this gift box, I think it will hang on the Christmas tree and be full of something nice for Christmas, I have 2 Grand daughters :D
It's only 10cms tall so it has been like crafting in miniature, good fun :D
The house is a die from Where Women Cook, it's made by Sizzix !

Daniel's Tree Topper
is playing happily,
Thank you for stopping by, hope you have a great weekend, I'm dodging showers today, hugs Gay x

Frames Oh yeah :D

Hello my lovely crafty friends,
Today I've had some time to play and I have finally made a couple of cards for the Simplicity One Layer challenge, where the idea is to 'Frame It!' I actually remembered to leave it one layer this week too :)

A Baby card from an old Stampin Up set 'Very Punny' which I
love, a play on words always raises a smile here! And a few dirty hand prints, that were stamped over a mask.

This one is also one layer and framed but this time a Chocolate Baroque stamp 'Patchwork Landscapes' I used a post it note to mask and then trimmed it smaller and inked again.
Sentiment by Mama Elephant 'Everyday Greetings'
It's been a wonderful summer's day here, not too hot but lots of sunshine, so welcome after the grey days :D Thank you for stopping here again :D Gay x

My Bedroom?

Hi folks, I'm here with a card to share. Over at LIM the challenge is to make a card with the colours of our bedrooms..........Cheeky :D Mine is dark grey and white.......

My colours are shades of white and grey, the bed linen has pin tucking so I scored the card to represent that although it's a little difficult to see.
Tim Holtz stamp from Saying Stuff'
MB stencil 'Texture Wave'
 EK success 'Binding Edge' punch

I'm feeling better at last although I missed the Craft Barn Extravaganza this weekend :( Next year perhaps :D

Shine On !!!!!!!!!!

Hi, hello and welcome, Today I have a card for CASology . This week I have the honour of being a guest designer because Ardyth chose my card!! How lucky was that :D
Here is my card for this weeks challenge

I also made this one in blue and gold but it's not a success:( The only thing I liked about this one was the star's central shine!! WOW that's a bright one LOL

It's a great cue this week, I like most of them to be honest, they certainly get me thinking !
Thank you for joining me here today, hugs Gay x

I used
Die by Memory box 'Parker upper alphabet set'
Sizzix 'Stars, Primitive'
Sentiment from Blonde Moments, Diane Reavely's earlier identity, I found a set here

Stampotique!!!!!!

Hi my crafty friends, Today I hope the sun is shining on you and all is well in your world, if not I jolly well hope it is soon! I have a Stampotique card today and I really hope you like it :D
This is for Sam's challenge Pink Turquoise and Polkas
Here we go
Loads of fun with this one, the colours are great together and I really enjoyed colouring her !!
Her background is a mask by TCW Mini Circle Basics, then I used a plastic bag that had been perforated with very small holes, I think it's for bread! I inked through it and got the tiny polka dots!!
I used;
'Spider wings', 'Birds and Bugs Cube'and 'Mela' by Daniel Torrente Then Tenticurl by Jo Capper-Sandon All from Stampotique
Distress inks in Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry

Lovely to see you and many thanks for all your good wishes, I am getting over this bug but goodness me it is taking forever!! Hugs Gay x
