We're at the Movies!!

Hello to all, At Stampotique this week the challenge is set by Corrie,

Corrie Herriman Is our hostess and she is asking us to do something in the theme "At The Movies" Here is what Corrie says about this fun challenge: Make something this week inspired by the movies or a move star and as always, have fun!!!

and this is my card

It's Newton again, I am a little obsessed with him, what a cutie :D LOL
My movie in case you didn't get it is Forrest Gump, I'm a little obsessed with Tom Hanks too but don't tell anyone :D
I drew the bench and then sat Newton down by stamping him twice and cutting his knees out of his tummy, mounting them up on gel glue adds a little depth. I think he looks quite comfy, what do you think?
Thank you for looking and apologies for my absence again, we've had the most wonderful long holiday with my family in Florida and I'm just coming down to earth!! Hugs Gay xx

A milestone birthday

For my grandaughter an eighth birthday is a milestone, not for everyone I know but I think, till you get to double figures (which takes an absolute age ) then birthdays become less remarkable. So when this challenge went up at Stampotique I took the opportunity to make her a card

This week Kathi is our hostess and she is taking us to a scary place, Milestone Birthday or Anniversaries Here is what she says about this challenge

"21, 25, 50, 60th Birthday or Anniversary -- It's time to celebrate! Let's see a project that celebrates those sometimes scary milestones of life!"

I used Roc's Horse and coloured with Copics, sentiment by W+9 sparkle and shine.
Thank you for your kind comments and for visiting me :D Gay xx

Just two stamps?

Woah that's a challenge alright. Over at the Stampotique designer's Challenge
Nellie is our hostess this week and she is asking us to "Use only two stamps" Here is what Nellie says about this challenge:
I tend to use a lot of stamps when I create something. Thought I might challenge myself and all of you by limiting the number of stamps. So no more than two stamps please!

Hi there folks, this is my card

I used Schmurfy he is just so cute, clean and simple, my preferred style. I used copics and a sentiment from Wplus9 Sparkle and Shine!
Thanks for dropping by Gay x

Primary colours

Back again and so soon :D
Today I have a card for the Stampotique challenge

Sue Davies is our hostess this week and she's bringing us back to our childhood days:

Take 2 of the 3 primary colours (and the colours that they create when mixed) and just use these on your creation. You can also use black and white if you like. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create.
My chosen colours were red and yellow and just a pinch of blue for his book! I used Newton from Stampotique
I found the quote on Pinterest but can't find who to attribute it to, it seems to be true for me though, a good book leaves it's mark :D Thank you for joining me today Hugs Gay x

Shabby Chic

Hello, it's been a while but I have a couple of ATC's that I made for the Stampotique ATC trade on Facebook that I would like to share.  It is loads of fun creating a small piece of artwork and takes much longer than you would think!
Well the first is shabby chic. This next is an all together different kettle of fish!
She looks a challenge, her name is Nether and I think it suits her very well. All stamps from Stampotique
Hope that life has been good to you in my absence and hope to be back with more to share soon :D Gay x

What?

Hi there, Today I have a card for Stampotique

Astrid Stulemeijer is our hostess this week and here's her challenge:

Every stamper has a little Frankenstein in them.  Give a stamp without wings a pair of them.  Have fun creating!
I played for ages with this one, I do hope you like it.
It's all about teenagers, when they adopt that pained expression, screwing up the nose and asking in a whiny voice.... What?
As if they haven't got a clue why you are even talking to them LOL

My background is Dylusions, white and bubblegum, water sprayed and swooshed onto card.
I used Penelope Baby Cthulhu Spider wings and Cityscape
Thanks for stopping, Have a great week, hugs Gay x
Thank you all for your kind comments, I love hearing from you and Gabby, I'm sorry I cannot reach you via blogger so thank you for your congratulations :D Gay x

Kim Howard is the hostess this week and we are celebrating:

Today is our 200th challenge and we'd like you to join us this week by celebrating.  Create with celebration, anniversary or best wishes in mind.

Congratulations on a fab challenge Stampotique!!!!

My card was born out of sheer frustration, lately I have been indulging myself (lucky me :-) ) and have quite a few new Stampotique stamps, as the expression goes 'I was spoilt for choice.' I couldn't make my mind up which little beauty to use. So finally Barkabe and the Dog cube came in to play.
Hope you like it folks, :D Hugs Gay x

Stampotique shiny

Hi again, The Stampotique challenge is from

Kathi Rerek she is our hostess this week and she's shimmering and shining:

My spirit animal must be a magpie as I'm attracted to all things that shine, shimmer or glitter.  My challenge for you is to create a project that literally shines!
So I made a card
This one features Queen of hearts with Daniel's Leeta with the Mad Hatter's hat

Very difficult to show how shimmery and shiny my background is, it's such a gloomy day here.
I brayered shiny paint onto my Gelli Plate and used a stencil for the pattern.
Leeta's head needed a new neck and shoulders for this so I made them out of card and transplanted her! She shook her head with a quick flick and her baubles flew out, she's lucky she didn't brain herself !!!!Mind you she is definitely a little green about the gills!

The work at home continues, a weekend off and back into the racket tomorrow. It will be worth it, just think no more worries over leaks but the house is soo cold and dark with scaffolding all over it. Even last week when the temperature rose to 28/29degs it was really cool inside.
I hope all is well with you my lovelies, hugs Gay xx

Favourite stamp :D

Hello there, I have a new offering for the Stampotique Designers Challenge

Gez Butterworth is our hostess this week and she's playing favourites this week:
We've ALL got one!  What's yours?  We would love to see your favourite Stampotique images (if you can't pick just one) on your creations this week.  Which stamp makes your heart skip a beat?

Well I have far too many favourites so what I decided was, to go with the stamp that I have desired for a very long time and just managed to acquire. Queen of Life by Daniel Torrente

The queen of Life needed more children so I brayered the image so it came out in reverse, cut it out and bingo three little ones :D
I also used Wings from Angel Boy, Daniel's Hearts, France Papillon's Rusted Rivets.
Gold Flake, chocolate box from IndiGoBlu.

This is the second of my atc's for the Stampotique FaceBook challenge, it made it all the way to Australia :D Stamp By Roc Nicholas Daisy head
The lady now sports a tin hat LOL
Thank you for joining me today!
I'm going crazy with all the hammering....we are having a new roof put on the house, what a racket LOL Hugs Gay

A little horse!!

Hello there,  Today I am sharing a quick card for Stampotique ,
(Edited: Too late I missed the time, aw shucks LOL)

Janet Klein is hostess this week for the SDC197 challenge.  I am challenging you to use some form of tin in your artwork.  Consider incorporating craft tin, tin tape, an Altoid container, a repurposed tin can or any tin object to incorporate with your stamping.

Over at the Stampotique Face Book page I have made a couple of ATC'S for the Shiny or Metallic swop
I can only share one as the other is winging it's way around the world!
Both have metal bases and extra metal embellishments, loads of fun was had in the making.
I stamped them onto the metal cut them out and burnished the design from behind. They were filled with Pinflair glue gel so that the dimension would stay put.

It's been ages since I blogged, life has a way of changing when you least expect it but I hope to be crafting and sharing a bit more in the coming weeks.  :D Hugs Gay x

Neon colours :D

Hello there, Today I have a card for this week's Stampotique challenge where the lovely
Astrid Stulemeijer is our hostess this week and has us thinking on the bright side:

"At first I was a bit afraid of these intense colors, but after using them, I really love them.  They give your work such a nice "pop".  I challenge you to use at least one neon color.  Can't wait to see your eye popping work!"

I just loved working with these colours, bright sunny and they are so good together, thanks go to Astrid :D

I used RUDY by Daniel Torrente there are 3 of these kooky seahorses and they are all fun!!!
My colours are Stabilo highlighter pens in green, yellow, orange and pink with a small dusting of Distress in Cracked Pistachio. Punched holes give a little interest and when the light is behind the card it shines through.

I had some wonderful luck and won Mass of Hair's candy now I must thank her publicly.
What a lucky lady I am and Thank you so much my lovely friend

and look at the fab card that came with it, I love it :D :D Check out MOH's blog 'So Much To Learn', (great name always makes me smile ) full of wonderful crafting and new techniques

A right animal!!

Hi Folks,
Not the most original of titles but accurate nonetheless! I have a card for LIM this week it's ONE LAYER and to include an animal
New stamps from Tim Holtz a NY girl and below a stamp by Stamps By Judith
Masking the figures, inking  and stamping over the masks, I know, easy peasy lemon squeezy! But I love these techniques especially for one layer cards :D

Very busy here still, I grabbed an hour to make these today, it was brilliant, I really enjoyed myself!
Thanks to the LIM girls and their great challenge with another wonderful prompt!!!!
Thank you for joining me , Hugs Gay xx

Jackie Payne is our hostess and she's got numbers on her mind: Numbers have been around for a very long time!  They feature so much in our lives!  I would like you to incorporate a minimum of one number into your project!  I hope you have fun.

I have to admit that I do this LOL it makes me giggle but I hate it if somebody does it to me and get very cross, perfectly setting myself up LOL
Liaka has a brilliant expression that just says it all, look at him checking out the sentiment :D This is one layer apart from the sentiment.
I hope you like, thank you for stopping to check out my stuff :D I am getting back to feeling a little more human again! Hugs Gay xx

Paint your background!!

Hi folks, Back aagin today with another card for Stampotique. This week the lovely talented Corrie challenged us...............
Happy Wednesday everybody.  My first love in crafting is paint.  So, today I would like you all to use paint in your background.  Doesn't matter what paint or how you apply it, just have fun!

Painting is fun and I had a very messy afternoon

I painted my background with an enormous paintbrush sploshing freely :D
Transposing head and wings from 'lovelyarethesound'  onto moon girl's body was a giggle too, neither seemed to mind!

This pic, in the weak winter sunshine, shows the irridescence of the Pebeo paints especially on the grass and sky they positively glow :D The sentiment is topped by black ribbon from inside jumpers, waste not, want not LOL
Thank you for stopping by, hugs Gay xx

Punny or funny, YAY I could do with some of that :D

Hello lovely crafty people,
Today I am sharing a Stampotique Challenge card. The lovely Kathi has challenged us,

E.E. Cummings said "The most wasted of all days is one without laughter." Puns and word play always make me smile.  Really good puns make me laugh.  Create a project that makes YOU smile.

Relaxin's blanket is just about to be pinched by Ghostie
Hope you like, it makes me smile :D Thank you for dropping by, hugs Gay xx
I used Crafter's workshop stencil, mini city grid and my new flourescent oil pastels, yum, yum !!
