Didn't expect that!

Hi all, hope it goes well with you,
Well it's going to be quicky today, I'm shattered, no card to share either, so sorry.
Last night son no2 stumbled on last stair and hurt his foot, I used ice and paracetamol and packed him off to bed.
Silly a.m. this morning and a head peeks around the door,
' Mum, my foots >>>>>>>>>'
(He is 26yrs old, so I'm not telling what he said:)). So just back from the A and E , I'm so behind and he has a broken toe, poor love.
On top of that my lovely stuff has arrived from Parti-Craft, oooh!!  so lovely,
I'll be back later xxx

I am inspired by her wonderful, colourful creations and love her enthusiasm. So when she announced the blog candy she was offering I joined in. Last night catching up with my blogging friends I found out that I had won her 'Grand Prize' So many Thanks Sue:)
WOW!I am soo pleased how lucky am I?
Sorry no cards to share today, family coming tomorrow, need to sort the mess that is my house but I'll be back soon, Have a lovely weekend enjoy all this beautiful weather, xxxx
I think I may be having a candy give away of my own soon,  will keep you posted :)

Before I go just a little joke from my friend

I CAN HEAR JUST FINE!"

Three retirees, each with a hearing loss, were playing
golf one fine March day. One remarked to the other, "Windy, isn't
it?" "No," the second man replied, "it's Thursday..."
And the third man chimed in, "So am I. Let's have a beer."

  Made me smile, :)

Do it yourself card!

Hi all,
Have decided to enter this for Susan Raihala's Simplicity OLW, 11 challenge, she asked us to make it funny, hope this works?

Made a card with the option to 'do it yourself', used one of my favourite stamps, Goosneck  a Stampotique Original and can't decide if I've over egged it now. I added a whimsical frame from Autumn Leaves and layered her skirt ( in this next one) with tissue embedded with holographic particles but the copics bled the ink.....................yes,  trying too hard I think and it doesn't qualify as One Layer!
I really like the sentiment (inkadinkadoo but retired) it makes me laugh every time I read it,  it's a bit rude really.

What d'you think, does it make you laugh or wince?

You go for it Girl!!!

Hi , Hello, how are you?
It's a fabulous day here in coffee headquarters, actually it's a bit hot but I'm not complaining, I love hot weather:)
Made a card yesterday using another one of my stamps from Art-Kure. I really like this warrior princess image but it was difficult to find just the right sentiment. I think it might just all be a bit too green as well:(

What you can't see in this pic is that she has a mirri card helmet and sword. Her dress is from a background that I made ages ago and couldn't find the right card to use it on. I used Tim HoltzTattered florals die for the flowers with the rest of the background, it's all gone now, thank goodness! Having spent so long making it I felt guilty for not using it.

She's a bit glossier in this photo.
I love making different cards and get bored using the same stuff so you can imagine how happy I was today to receive a great comment from Chris saying how she too likes different cards, mine are definitely that, LOL and Thank you so much for your lovely comments, I love hearing from you all:)

Hi all, dragged myself out of bed today, babysitting last night, looking after my gorgeous girlies and got home in the wee small hours, snore, snore:)

So what d'you do when you've got no energy?............I  sit and make a card:)
I  bought some stamps from Art-Kure, they are having a sale and they were an absolute bargain. I just love the artwork on this one, the bug is so cute;)

Craft Barn weekend, YAY!!!

Hello lovely crafty People,
This weekend was the craft barn extravaganza. Well I was so impressed....again. So much talent under 4 roofs. Lots of inspiration and such sunny demonstrators, too many to mention but I would like to Thank them all;0)
I popped over for a quick session in metal, sounds kinky but it wasn't, ;0)
Tried my hand at making a post it note cover. I was useless but maybe I'll get the hang, so I bought a basic set of tools to play with, as you do and then off to visit all the wondrous demonstrations.

Anyway, made a card for my son's birthday, the metal  was using the cuttlebug and an alphabet folder from Crafts-Too . Idea for the letter disks from Carol Cann at the Craft Barn, Thanks Carol

I also used a pic from a Crafty Individuals pad. At the Craft Barn I was watching Jean, (owner, I think) of Crafty Individuals she's great, stayed for ages as she created a tag, using tissue to stamp onto first, absolutely magic. You have to try it, really subtle stamped images, I was totally entranced. Also, she suggested that we try using foils with just a glue stick, I tried it here, what d'you think?

I was quite pleased it stuck nicely to the corrugated card even though it doesn't show very well here:(

p.s. Have taken my list of lovely blogs off, I still follow you all,  it's just I had too many and it was slowing down the blog loading  xxx
