Hello lovely crafty People,
This weekend was the craft barn extravaganza. Well I was so impressed....again. So much talent under 4 roofs. Lots of inspiration and such sunny demonstrators, too many to mention but I would like to Thank them all;0)
I popped over for a quick session in metal, sounds kinky but it wasn't, ;0)
Tried my hand at making a post it note cover. I was useless but maybe I'll get the hang, so I bought a basic set of tools to play with, as you do and then off to visit all the wondrous demonstrations.

Anyway, made a card for my son's birthday, the metal was using the cuttlebug and an alphabet folder from Crafts-Too . Idea for the letter disks from Carol Cann at the Craft Barn, Thanks Carol.
I also used a pic from a Crafty Individuals pad. At the Craft Barn I was watching Jean, (owner, I think) of Crafty Individuals she's great, stayed for ages as she created a tag, using tissue to stamp onto first, absolutely magic. You have to try it, really subtle stamped images, I was totally entranced. Also, she suggested that we try using foils with just a glue stick, I tried it here, what d'you think?
p.s. Have taken my list of lovely blogs off, I still follow you all, it's just I had too many and it was slowing down the blog loading xxx
This is an amazing masculine card! I love the corrugated cardstock with foil and also the way you've customized it for your son.
ReplyDeleteI love this it is fab, the card makes it stand right out. hugs Pops xxx
ReplyDeleteSounds like you thoroughly enjoyed your day at The Craft Barn's weekend!! Really wish you had said 'Hi' though as it would have been great to have met you in person! Perhaps next time??

Yay what a great solution to the man card problem but if I hear of one more person who was at the Craft Barn last weekend when I couldn't be there I think I will explode with jealousy. It sounds fantastic. By the way I tracked you down by doing a google search-what else? Hugs BettyXXX
