Well I've taken the plunge, bared my soul and shared my work desk, eek, it's not tidy........ again!!
Now........ I'm a first timer so go gently with me!!
There is a reason it's not tidy, I blame the Craft Barn, nothing to do with me, if they hadn't encouraged me I wouldn't have had any stuff to play with!! I was sitting and having a good old think last night and I realised that I'd lost some of my joy in creating and was spending too much time blogging, I needed inspiration. So I took myself off to the Craft Barn and found all these inexpensive, yummy things to alter. As you can see it's very much a work in progress!
So here you find me, deep in Claudine Hellmuths Gesso, and happy as a sandboy:D
If you are wondering what WOWW is all about, pop over to Julia Dunnit's Web page. and all will be revealed:D
Having been a lurker I feel liberated now, joining in and coming clean. Note to self, must tidy up.......mmmm... maybe later:)
gorjuss desk, looks like you have lots and lots to do now, enjoy it and dont worry about the mess, cus its not mess to us crafters
ReplyDeletesee ya next week !!!

Hi Ya
ReplyDeletewelcome to the fun, enjoy your snoop, lovely creative space, thanks for the snoop, have a great WOYWW, sue,x
hiya, I love the craft barn and have some of those wooden things in my to do pile, the unselfish thing would be to do them for peoples taste, but perhaps with a little of your own quirkiness thrown in, the selfish thing is to do them how you want, I would prob go for selfish myself, LOL :)
ReplyDeleteWElcome to WoYWW - a lovely craft desk to show.
ReplyDeleteI would alter your pieces in your style if you are happier doing it that way. I find it difficult to get enthused if I work in another "taste"!
make them in the style of the recipient, otherwise you will make them to your taste and want to keep them all lol
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely creativity going to be going on there I am sure of it. Obviously the G to decorate to your tastes and the recipients items in maybe their colour choices but your style - hope that helps.
ReplyDelete:)
At last I've seen a true working desk...yipeeee
ReplyDeleteoh that problem on how to alter its ongoing, I always start off with good intentions, but somehow it just goes off on one, so then decide to just go with the flow........lol Annette x
Welcome to the gang!! Great to see your desk after all this time, lol. It's pretty tidy to me - have to say - though it's great to see work in progress for a change!! I just love it. Happy WOYWW! Cath x (and yep, it's fun!!)
ReplyDeleteTowards the creative donor, the intended recipient should feel and express the state of priviledgeness they are in- to Own Your Art -
ReplyDeleteDo it your way I say
Dx
We love desks like this joining in! Great things you got to alter, the Craft Barn has so much to choose from...
ReplyDeleteLove to see all your crafty bits bought at the Barn, I too myself am a regular visitor and cannot stop spending on all those lovely bits they have. Cannot wait to see your altered bits finished. Very creative. Have a lovely evening JO.xxxx
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you create with all that lovely new stash and I say 'Do it your way too'.
ReplyDeletexx
This looks very organised to me at least you can see where everything is, mine is just a pile of hidden crafty things. cant wait to see the G finished, it all looks so interesting hugs chris xx
ReplyDeleteWelcome, lovely looking space you have.
ReplyDeleteYou will find that WOYWW is a great way to get you crafting .... also check out www.ukstampers.co.uk for loads of inspiration....it is such a friendly and creative forum.
Heehee, as long as YOU can find what you're looking for, it's not messy! In fact, I love a messy craft desk because it means you have a lot of stuff to love!! I say you alter those fun objects for whatever your heart tells you, then you decide whether to keep it or make someone's day! You can always buy a second. ;) Hope your day is lovely!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to WOYWW! Your photo is stunning, the lighting makes it look like a Caravaggio painting!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy all your goodies!
Chrissie
The Craft Barn is an amazing place, isn't it? Love your desk, a gorgeous crafting space.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to WOYWW. You have some fab stuff on your desk for altering, I would be in my element playing with them. Enjoy them all. Have a good evening, Tracy Evans x
ReplyDeleteI love a busy desk.....xv
ReplyDeleteWelcome to WOYWW! Great desk - I reckon you try and alter things with the intended recipients taste in mind - more of a challenge! x
ReplyDeleteLots of interesting Altering going on here - your workspace looks very organised considering how busy you are! It is a bit scary the first time you share your workspace with the world but it's great fun too!
ReplyDeleteSylvia x
Welcome to the madness that is WOYWW. Be warned this is very addictive and now you have joined the club there is no escape!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your workdesk
hugs Candace
No need to tidy up. Creative madness at its best when desks are messy.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to WOYWW! It's an addiction, I think. I can't stop snooping.
Oooh i love that little cupboard - I am guessing thats the key holder? I think I need one of those! and also I bought 3 letters from Hobbycrafts at the beginning on the holidays as they were on offer you have just reminded me of those - wonder where they are? must go look. As for presents I always make my stuff with the recipient in mind - it means that I might not always like the finished article but at least I know that they will. Hope this all helps - oh and welcome to WOYWW - have fun!
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks like mine .. .. only about a square foot of workspace LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteI start of by clearing everything away each morning but by the end of the day I have piled it up again .. .. and sometimes even the floor .. .. making everywhere a slip and trip hazard!!!
I should do your project to your own taste .. .. unless you really do intend to give it away and then I suppose the "intended recipient" should get a bit of a look in. LOL!!
Have fun.
Love Jules xx
My favourite thing about crafters' desks is that they all share one thing - piled high with stuff, and the owner working in a four inch square space right on the edge!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI say do it in your own style, to please yourself. I would say that though, because whenever I try and do anything to anyone else's taste, it ends up not pleasing me and never seeming "right". I think we can only really truly create at our best when we are doing what we love.
Oh - and welcome to WOYWW! It's lovely to have you along!
ReplyDeletegreat desk! loads to look at and i love your new items to alter. that little keybox is very sweet! I always try and match the colour scheme of a freinds craft room (or living room) if the gift is for them.
ReplyDeleteWell, I spied Sit Tim stash hiding in the corner so you may be a first timer, but you'll do for me.
ReplyDeleteLuv Joanne xx

ReplyDeleteGreat stuff to alter :-) Love the green dangly with the bells. Don't tidy too much, not on our account anyway as many of us are the same.
ReplyDeleteAnne x

ReplyDeleteWelcome, welcome. It's addictive and you'll really love it here. Now that you've teased us with the craft barn goodies, you will have to show us the finished projects.
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late visiting, but I contracted a nasty computer virus on Wednesday. It's still attacking, but I made sure I wasn't infecting anyone. Happy belated WOYWW.
