Sad today, everybody say ahh!

Hi , hello it's a sad MC that greets you from coffee headquarters today, my son moved out, ahh, feeling sad. He is getting on with his life it's a great move for him but I'm sad, I know silly old fool aren't I  :0)

I have 2 cards to share today, first for my Sister's birthday, she still hasn't got it I'm afraid I will get it off to her tomorrow when the post office opens. We haven't had any post since Tuesday last week.

The little fairy is from the Pure innocence range at Simon says Stamp and the tree was a freebie from A Day for Daisies
I used a punch around the page MS punch and coloured with copics.

My next card is my son's Happy new home card, tried not to be too girly on this one. Tim Holtz tissue tape and inked with alcohol inks and his Houses Die. Marianne die for the stars.

Hope the deep snow has gone from your vicinity and that it doesn't get as cold as they are predicting. Have a wonderful week everyone, I'm off for another sulk. TTFN :0)

  4. Well my friend both of these cards are just wonderful.. You are soooo talented.

I guess I am pretty lucky.. When my one and only daughter moved out she moved 4 houses down from me. So I still see her all the time. But I really try to not be the nosey mother in-law!

  8. Hi there, love both your cards. I haven't been around much lately due to health issues and I have also made over 60 Christmas cards in the last couple of weeks. It is a strange feeling when the kids fly the nest but don't worry cause they keep coming back. Both my sons left home, moved back, left home and one moved back and he is still here (34 years old) but it was in a good cause as he gave up his job 5 years ago and went to Uni where he qualified with honours this year so now he is working he is saving hard for his own place. But I know I will miss him when he does eventually leave.

    xx

  9. Hi Your cards are greatttttttt. I felt the same when my daughter left and then my Son. But you do get to enjoy more time to your self. Then it's nice when they come to visit. My son now lives in the next street and we have our grandaughter 4 days a week. So thats fantastic and exhausting . Hugs x ChrisB

  15. Hi You!! - two gorgeous cards, fabulously cute little Pure Innocence image and I love the scene you've created for her - great sentiment. Fantastic use of the TH houses die and aweseome inking.
Don't be too sad - You'll just get used to your son not living with you and lo and behold he'll be back and getting under the feet. It happened with both of mine - they come and go like's there's no tomorrow.

  20. No your not a silly old fool! Its part of what happens, belive me he will be feeling it too! I am the youngest of 6 and when I came to leave home my Mum & Dad were mortified! I was too!! it felt awful that they has all these kids for years & then down to me last one!....they got a dog when I left home!....lol...y'know it really upset me cos I wanted one at home & the answer was always no! But they said they needed something to look after as the house was too quiet. But I did go back for tea 3 times a week & to get my ironing done! He will always need you, its just another chaper! Big Hugs!
