LIM 10, no. 2. Lets have another go!

Hi and welcome here.
This is effort number 2.

The Less is More challenge this week is great and I'm loving playing around with sentiments and pictures. the sentiment has to be the most prominent.

I stamped this card and cut a border with a Martha Stewart punch but I feel it's probably a bit fussy.

So I stamped it more simply
Now I don't know which I prefer. Do you have a preference?

For this second card I faded out the edge of the background stamp because I feel it ends too abruptly.

Background stamp by Elusive images (now Chocolate Baroque)
Penny Black sentiment.
Versamark Brilliance ink, Pearlescent Beige.
Sentiment stamped with Archival ink coffee.

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving comments, I love reading them all :0) xxx

  2. You are right about the first one being a bit busy. The second one is fab! :) Bee-uuu-tiful bg stamp! Super stuff! :)

  3. The second one has to be my favourite for the reasons you state... it's less fussy and the fading out of the edge of the background is so effective... without one consciously realising it!
    How did you achieve that?
If I were to be exceptionally picky, my only comment would be that the style of font on the sentiment stamp doesn't match the style of the background stamp, which for me begs a flowing script or classical style.
    The sentiment itself is super!
It is a really beautiful card nevertheless.
    Thanks again.

  21. Wow, both are great so its hard to decide. I think I like the darkness of the background on the first one. But the faded edge on the second. I would say the second one, but only by a small margin. Both are very lovely.
