Hi everyone, so sorry I've been missing for a few days busy times! There was a brilliant mini fest going on at the Craft Barn on Saturday, I had a great time watching all the demos and shopping :0) On Sunday I took a fantastic workshop with Jean Hardy from Crafty Individuals at the Craft Barn again! Fabulous time and beautiful makes, lucky me:0)
And I've been looking after the gorgeous girlies too, the grand daughters, lucky me :0)
I've made a couple of cards for the LIM 27 Challenge
This week it's time for another colour challenge and for your delectation this week, we have decided to ask you make a card using the
COLOURS
of
YOUR NATION'S FLAG!
COLOURS
of
YOUR NATION'S FLAG!
This card uses a corner stamp onto the card and then onto velum. I used embossing paste onto the card and inked up with distress inks afterwards. The bodies of the butterflies are bits from the centre of grunge board numbers. Inking onto the velum needed coloured Stazon.
This card is the one I made first and here I used Tim Holtz Rock Candy, crackle glaze. When used on velum it drys quite crinkly but I love the effect, it has the added bonus of making it hard to see the adhesive behind, NICE! I've raised it up with Pinflair glue gel. I hope you like? Now I need to get myself off to the LIM site and check out all those fabulous entries by the Limettes TTFN Gay xx
Ooh YESSSS! These are lovely! Very interesting how you made them! What will you come up with next?

Gay - sounds like you've had a really fun few days. I do like the sound of the crafty stuff :) And you must have really enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteYour LIM cards are stunning - I particularly like the first one with the embossed diamond pattern and subtle sponging - looks fab! The vellum butterflies on both cards are great!
Absolutely love your butterflies and love the addition of the vellum and great idea to use the bits left over for the bodies, very clever. Love the texture from the texture paste too. Tracy x x
ReplyDeleteTotally brilliant use of the corner stamp Gay - talk about "thinking outside the box" - you're a master at it!!
ReplyDeleteLove them both, but the one with the diamond background is my fave.
(Congrats on your TIOT GDT spot too).
