I had a couple of attempts with this Clarity Vine stamp. The first is my favourite, it doesn't come much more simple, stamped in olive distress, a little bright yellow copic and a Hot off the Press sentiment in black.
This has a PTI sentiment but I spent some time colouring and adding mica powders but I don't like it very much :{
Thanks for dropping by and I'll be around to see you soon, hugs Gay x
Brilliant but I have to agree with you the first is my favourite too
ReplyDeleteI prefer the first one too Gay although they are both fab.
ReplyDeleteI loved your original one but I know what you mean about it being similar to Chrissies.

Fab card, Gay! I have that stamp too, what a great way you have used it. x
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful Gay ! I love the effect of the mica powders, have to get mine out ! The ivy image is gorgeous :) Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, Shirleyx

just love the way you have used this stamp, the first one is fabulous and your placing is perfect. I know Clarity stamps are easier to line up but even so I still struggle to line things up especially on a one layer card. The label effect you have achieved on the second card is so neat and the colour is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteFab cards Gay, I love the simplicity of the first one too x
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards, but I must admit, I do prefer the first one.
ReplyDeleteAvril xx
This size of card is difficult to design but you have created a beautiful design. Annette x
ReplyDeleteI have never seen such an elegant vine Gay, two beautiful cards. xx

"Less is More"
Both are beautiful cards and I agree with you and others that the thank you card is my favourite. However I love the sentiment on the second card! Cards that look simple are so often harder to create than fussy ones! That's why I LOVE your work...gold medal all the time!
ReplyDeleteYou are so good in this Gay! Your cards are fabulous, real beauty's!!

Both are really amazing, I prefer the second.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully simplistic!
ReplyDeleteHi Gay
ReplyDeleteThat stamp is gorgeous and you have used it brilliantly.
I love both cards .. .. but if was forced to choose one .. .. then I would go for the first.
I hope you are having a good week.
Love Jules xx
Beautiful cards Gay I like them both:)
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards. I favour the first one, but I think the second one the masking is too abrupt - just my opinion ;)
ReplyDeleteLinbyx
Hi Gay, just having a catch up! These cards are fab - I love the way you've used the stamps. Your box in your last post is fantastic!

I believe that first one has my vote as favorite too. Your cards are always so creative....and you have the coolest stamps!
ReplyDeleteAre we on the same wavelength or not?
ReplyDeleteI toyed with idea of using this tall card shape (used to use it exclusively) and I stamped out the very same sentiment to see if it worked for me too. I love the design of both cards. Barbara would approve too!
Lilian
Love the first one too Gay. It looks really good on the tall thin card. x
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards, I too like the first one, thanks for becoming a follower. xx

ReplyDeleteThese are both really lovely but I agree with the majority on the first one being my favourite. It really is stunning in its simplicity and those two stamps work together perfectly. You are a clever lady!
