One-Layer Wednesday 48: A Sympathetic Challenge

Hello again from the coffee house, hope you're well today? Are you sitting comfortably, got coffee? It's okay relax this is a short post.
I've made a card for Susan's Simplicity challenge
No one likes to have to make these cards but from time to time we will need them.

OLW48 Rules

1. A one-layer card is defined as a single layer of cardstock folded in half. No other layers allowed.

2. Make a sympathy card that uses an image other than trees or flowers. Remember to keep embellishments to a minimum.

here is my card

Had a bit of trouble getting the sentiment to stamp clearly, this is the second attempt, I can be a bit obsessive, after all it's hand made!
Stamps are;
For the background text an acrylic set Bella Boulevard 'In the Garden' I think, had them a long time.
Papertrey Ink Mat stack 2 .

The sun is shining furiously in the UK today so I'm planning to get out in the garden soon. Hope the sun's with you too, have a lovely day, Bye for Now:0) xxx

I think you have cracked the challenge.
Well done!

I know what you mean about not stamping the 'whole' of something...happens to me all the time. I put it down to storing them not quite flat!

The image you have chosen is a good alternative to the flowers etc.

This is beautiful. I'm not so happy with mine. Susan's right, making sympathy cards is a challenge. I like happy images so a sombre tone is hard.

You did a great job.

regards,
Malyn

These are always tricky cards to master and a one layer with no trees or flowers is even tougher but yours is beautiful and very appropriate

Oh, man. This is so wonderful! I hadn't even thought about using text, but it's ideal for this theme, and paired with the flourish, it's perfect.

It's been a wonderful day hasn't it. Doesn't the sunshine make you feel so much better. I hope you managed to get out in the garden.
Your card is just perfect for a difficult occassion. It's very subdued but very classy.

Very inspirational.

Shame about the subject matter but unfortunately such cards are sometimes needed.

Hope you managed to get out into the sunshine.

I only managed the washing line a few times :-(
