Hello there folks, Over at Stampotique the lovely Gez has challenged us to produce a project for Christmas, here goes

My card features 'Santa Baby' from Stampotique, he is a star and has a gift :D His gift is very twinkly because I cut it out of holographic card :D His sentiment is from Mama Elephant, nice!

I hope you are liking this hot weather we have here in the UK? I LOVE it :D Sorry if you don't like it! Though, at least today it's not humid, pretty near perfect if you ask me but we Brits are weather obsessed I know LOL Thank you for stopping by, Hugs Gay x

Book inspiration :D

Hi folks, Yes! I love reading, it's my own little world going on inside my head whilst I run through daily life. It fills me with pleasure!
Thank you for dropping in, I hope the day goes well for you :D
Here the sun shines off and on, still very warm :D
Today I have a card for Stampotique, The lovely France asked

I would like to know about your favorite books. So my challenge for you, should you accept it, is to create a piece, inspired by your favorite book. Let the story, the title, the cover, a quote inspire you! Now you might have a problem choosing your all time favorite book, don't worry, it's not like you are writing it in stone, just pick one. Or maybe your problem is that you don't like reading at all. Here is how to cheat: go for your favorite film based on a book, we won't tell ;)))
Here is my card

I wonder if you can guess which book I chose? The young ladies' names were Meg, Amy, Jo and Beth
I read this book in my formative years, it's probably really dated but I thoroughly enjoyed it!
This isn't a line from the book but I do believe it says a lot about the spirit of the book, in my opinion! I found it on Pinterest.
Check this pin out...
Makes you think huh? I can't help agreeing :D LOL From Pinterest

My choice for this challenge is ..................... 'Little Women' By Louisa May Allcott.
Brief overview of the book HERE

I stamped the girls onto shrink plastic painted them with H2O,s then cut them out, shrunk them and got stuck!!! At one stage they were on a journal page, that didn't work, tried them on a larger card, nooo so this final incarnation sees them with a background using a stencil/mask by Heidi Swapp and Cosmic Shimmer, Golden Mint.
Stampotique stamps are   Noelle, Relaxin', Gooseneck and Mela

Finger painting?

Hello Everyone! Happy Weekend! Oh yeah! Time for One layer finger painting at LIM Loads of giggles about this one here, I am inked!!!

Lovely idea I think, thanks Chrissie and the ladies at LIM, I have enjoyed playing...........using my little finger only in the end, I started with the top dot and turning my little finger on it's side, inked the droopy petals.

After I was happy with the flowers I drew the stems with Inktense pencils and rubbed them out again, too heavy :D Embossing with clear EP made the ink stable enough to add the circular background and the Donna Downey sentiment.
It's quite shiny now. Thank you again for your visit, hugs Gay x

Less is More Earth tones :D

Hi there my lovelies, Today I made a card for LIM the challenge is for Earth tones
With this card I used a stencil by Stencil Girl S223 and a sentiment from Donna Downey. I have deliberately inked twice and off register to give a shadowing effect.
This card.... the stamp is from Bee Crafty and inspired by Banksi, sentiment by Bee Crafty,

Thank you for stopping I'd love to hear your comments and am so happy that you chose to follow!! Welcome to this blog my newest follower Aussie Annie from  Australia!! Thank you and lovely to see you all, hugs Gay x

Newsprint!

Hear ye! Hear ye! :D Today is the day that newsprint hit the headlines!! giggle, it's only me, the challenge at Stampotique is from the lovely Magda  and here is what she said,

Hello everyone! It's Magda. I'm back to work after my holidays but still have time for some relaxing. I'm sitting surrounded by books and magazines. Today I would like to ask you to use a newspaper or magazine in your project. It can be a small piece, some images from magazine to make a collage or you can use whole page as a background. Have fun! Can't wait to see your creations!

so I made a card

Friend is shown in his true colours and somebody loves him!! Me for sure :D
I used
Distress inks and Friend by Stampotique
Newsprint by IndigoBlu.
Lovely to see you here, thank you for stopping by, hugs Gay xx

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Hi Folks, Sorry for my absence  I've been a little tied up this week, looking after my gorgeous girlies :D Their Mum and Dad went to Le Mans, very nice!! :D
Today I have a very quick post for Stampotique, Travel/ Vacation is the theme set by the lovely Kathi Rerek, here is what she said

"It's the summer here, which means it's the perfect time for a break from your everyday activities, like school or work! My challenge this week is Vacation and/or Travel!
There's a lot of latitude (pun intended) with this challenge! I can't wait to see what you all create!"
 Here is my card

Here you can see the shimmery background, she's way up and traveling on her zip wire! I cut Mela's arms off (gently :D ) And stamped another arm so that she could hang from the wire. then she needed free flowing feet, so I drew them and made her stockings fit! I tried to make the words like floating banners :D

Thank you for stopping by, lovely to see you, I hope you're well :D Hugs Gay x
