Yep that's right, we've been modelling, at the Craft Barn LOL Using modelling products that is.
My first project is a ceramic frame. I used Modrock, which is plaster of paris on a bandage! I dipped the Modrock in water to moisten then moulded into the shape of waves which I painted and bingo.......... 3D movement on my frame, loads of fun :0)
Here I've used a photograph of my grand daughter having a moment at the beach LOL
Next, and for the first time ever, I have used Pardo jewellery clay. It's lovely stuff, so easy to use just like fimo but the colours and effects are similar to what you would find in jewellery. Mine was Mother of Pearl (white with a subtle sheen) Onyx (black) with Glitter.
I made some cufflinks. More examples of modelling at the Craft Barn blog and all the products I used are at the Craft Barn website
and on the blog The little jewellery box is on the website too! Here
It was great to branch out and try something new and although a bit daunting at first I'm glad I had a bash. Here the design on the onyx cufflinks is the impression from the top of an embossing pen, it had nice even ridges, you can just about make it out on the pic.
Thank you for stopping by, have a wonderful weekend, Gay xxx
p.s don't forget the AJ challenge on the Craft Barn blog it's all good fun and closes on the 25th Feb, Good Luck:0)
