Hello there crafty friends, at last I have a card for LIM, I'm so glad to join in this week:0)
Today I have been watching the tennis, the men's final at Wimbledon but I find I can't watch it all, I get too worked up LOL Have you been watching, are you enjoying it? So lots of small breaks to do this post, it's taken about 3hours so far LOL
The challenge laid down by Chrissie and Mandi is to use something GOLDEN as it's a colour challenge this week.
My central image is stamped on to really shiny golden paint, onto foam pads to raise it up. the key is cut from a die in holographic card and then aged with stazon in black and brown. I love the effect of Stazon on holographic card it's semi-translucent if you're gentle with it and leaves the colour to shine through. There are golden micro beads on her heart too!
So there's mine!
I'm off to finish watching the match through my fingers and then I'm coming to check out your golden cards:0)
Have a wonderful week my friends, Gay xxx
UPDATE, Oh noo, poor Murray, big lump in my throat and a tear in my eye, it wasn't meant to be this year:{ You've got to admire Federer he is a consumate professional and a tennis artist!
I used,
Paper Artsy Lynne Perrella
Oxford Impressions, London Telegraph
Marianne Creatables Key
I bought mine at the Craft Barn.
Lovely card, very elegant! Valerie

WOW awsome card, love the images you have used and wasn't the match awsome! :)
ReplyDeleteWell done Gay!! It has a great steampunk feel to it. You'd think at my advanced years I wouldn't be into steampunk, but I just love the style. Here you've gone and made it look so easy to create the look. Again, just love it.

wonderful card, gay... love the little collage you created!
ReplyDeleteI thought that key was real, until I read your instructions, Gay, it's simply stunning, as is the whole card. The gold panel is really interesting.
ReplyDeleteI was watching Murray in between gardening, the sun has been out at last here, hurray, and couldn't stay inside all afternoon and miss it. It was a good match and it's nice to see Murray is human but you have to admire Federer don't you. Trouble is I'm a Nadal fan so it's been a funny Wimbledon for me this year!!
Hope you've enjoyed the weekend.
Hugs Lisax
This is one fab, arty CAS card. I too was choked up when AM was being interviewed, it was a great game. xx

ReplyDeleteFANTATIC CARD !!! Gay a great distressing technique very easy to see and very difficult to make, i think. The key is amazing, seem like a real key, gorgeous work Gay!
Hugs from the melted island and have a nice week.
Wow Gay such a stunning original creation, I love it! The key is amazing and looks brilliant with the stazon. What a show Andy put on, I also watched it in bits and listened to the rest while I re arranged my craft room! I was in tears with him I think that's the first genuine emotion I've seen from him and he was very gracious with it.
