A sketch for LIM a TUT and a RAK, :0)

Cor!! That's a lot for a title, hope you're still here, welcome:0) I've been a bit AWOL recently recovering from an infection after my op but I'm on the mend now so I hope to get back to normal a.s.a.p!!
LIM this week is a sketch, after our marathon effort to get to 1000 submissions last week, Chrissie and Mandi have been gentle with us:0)
This is my card following the sketch, pop over to LIM for the details.

Stamp by Butterfly Kisses Nautical

I  was extremely lucky and received a beautiful card and some stamped images from Sandra over at Stamping for Pleasure, so kind:0) Thanks so much my friend:0)

Look at the super card she sent too!

It really cheered me up and now I've got some brilliant House mouse images and more to colour, YAY I think I'm going to be busy!

I've done a quick Tutorial on my snowman's background, some comments suggested that it could be a good idea, I hope it helps.

Stamped in Memento London Fog

Masked with Eclipse tape. If you've never had this tape it's sooo good, mine's 6ins tall and is about 33 feet long. I've had mine for about 5 years and there's still quite a bit left, (it's not cheap and I'm mean with it.) You unroll some, lay it on your work mat and stamp your image onto it, then cut it out, simples!! It's all tacky like post it notes but all over and it covers/ masks really well. It also resists distress inks if you're not too enthusiastic with your rubbing, LOL
Then Sponged with Cut and Dry cut in a rectangle and angled in the direction of the wind. I had some Shabby Shutters green on the sponge but only a little and it took off the real brightness of the Broken China. I usually  dab off some of the fresh ink, you can always add more if you need to.

When that was fairly good I removed the mask and splashed with water and dabbed dry to remove snowy splodges

I coloured with Copics but I've left that off as there are many tuts for those techniques.
I hope I've not bored you to tears and told you loads of stuff you know already, Gay xxx

The colouring on your card is wonderful Gay and your tut is super. I've never heard of this tape but I think I may have to get some as I rather enjoy masking in its various forms.
Thanks so much
Chrissie
