Going round and round,

Woah just like the Beatles song , 'the man with the thousand voices standing perfectly still,  round and round and round, woah ooh ho Ah ha!' 'It's The Fool on the Hill' one of my favourites :D
Welcome everyone :D
A quick post for LIM this week
Lucky Dip Challenge.
It also means that we have a Guest Designer, which this month is
LTC
The theme for your cards this week is
ROUND and ROUND
You may interpret this as you wish, but we must be able to recognise the connection!

Two cards,..... one to say get well and the other a thanks card!
I inked up a background and used a stencil to add a brocade design. Cut out some circles and a die cut  from Crafts Too called 'Entwined' which I inked lightly, trimmed and raised on foam pads.
I'll be by to check out some Limettes work very soon :D Gay x

That's lucky :D

Hello again lovely crafty friends, I hope I find you all Tickety Boo ? :D Been a little chilly here today but we're set for a warm weekend, Yippee!!!

I have a card for this week's CASology challenge where the cue is 'LUCKY'

I took the pic from a stamp by Whipper Snapper called Hunny Bunny. I drew it much larger, on the stamp it's 3cm tall and mine is 10cm it has also gained another leaf and a ladybird :D They're precariously dancing along the flower stem! They'll be lucky if it holds their combined weight! I read on Google that ladybirds are considered lucky :D
Coloured with Copic Ciao pens and a little Diamond glaze to make the ladybird's wings shiny and done........ !!
Thanks for stopping by, hugs Gay x

BLUSH!

Hello my lovely crafty friends, I'm rushing in to share a card for CASology, where the cue is
BLUSH, what a beauty, so many ways to tackle this one, spoilt for choice! I tried cute but that didn't work then I tried painting, that was a little better,
Squishy paint mmm yum yum. My technique is 'just go for it'! :D I loaded the brush with two colours. A couple of years ago I did a one day painting course for longboats/barges called 'Roses and Castles', lots of fun and this is where I picked up the two colour idea.

This pic shows my practice board, somewhere there is a photo of the castle I painted but I can't find it :(........

Found it :D
Yes, well, probably shouldn't have bothered it was so much better in my memory LOL !!

The colours I chose for my card were coral and orchid, in acrylic paint.
Added the sentiment and branches last.
I have loads of catching up to do, it's been a very distracting time, lots going on here so I am way behind on returning visits to my lovely readers. I am coming soon :D Thank you for still visiting even though  I'm such a useless blogger :(
Hope all is good with you, hugs Gay xxx

Shades of Gray :D

Hi folks,
Today I'm sharing a card for CAS-ual Fridays latest challenge,

http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.se/

Masked a circle and with the Shatter stencil inked through with black soot distress. Stamped the image and then through another mask added dimensional paste in mat black. When dry I added another stamped centre, popped up on sticky foam and glittered with gel pen. You can just about see the gleam in this pic..
The graphic lines were extended to bring the design further into the card.
I'm really enjoying crafting again, it's so good to be able to!

Lovely to see you here :D Gay x

I've used
Tim Holtz Classic 14 by Stampers Anonymous.
Stencils by Crafters workshop, classic circles and Mini Pattern strips
Tim Holtz Shatter stencil
Black Dreamweaver paste

Stencilling and masking! Adding water too!

Hi there everyone, I hope all's well :D
Today I am sharing a card for LIM
where Chrissie , Jen and Anne have offered us a challenge, they say,

As ever on the third Saturday of each month we have a theme for you.

This time it is for you to use

MASKING OR STENCILLING

on your creations.
====================

Over at One Layer Simplicity the challenge, set by Karen this month, is to Add water

OLS Challenge Rules

l.  A one -layer card is defined as a single layer of cardstock folded in half.  No other layers of paper are allowed.

2.  Make a card that uses water sprayed or applied onto an image or create a background using water to blend.  Remember to keep embellishments to a minimum.
 I made 2 :D
Two stencils in this first card, the background for the sentiment was stenciled with distress then I added water. Next I placed the border stencil on the card getting the positive image. The semicircles are from the other stencil and just inked through straight onto the card.
I used
The sentiment is by Waltzingmouse 'Big Day Today'
Circular stencil, TCW 'Mini And So On'
Border stencil, Special Touch of... 'Elegance'
I sponged the distress inks through the stencil and stamped the berries over the top. Using a waterbrush I moved the ink around the image to soften the contrast between the light and shadow on the berries.

 This card uses
Tim Holtz Layering Stencil, 'Shatter'
Stamps by Chapel road Art stamps 'Thistle'
Sentiment stamp, Lindsay Mason, Love that Binds
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of the week, hugs Gay x

Boing* Boing** Boing***, yup it's Spring !!

Hi my crafty friends,
Fabulous weather here in the UK today, warm unbroken sunshine we're full of smiles :D I hope you're getting some (smiles and good weather) too :D

So, my card for Less is More was easy, a one layer card with Spring Flowers, that's the order of the week, so I have Bluebells. I thoroughly enjoyed getting inky today.
There is no sentiment, perhaps I'll fill that in later, hopefully this card could be any sort of greeting. I masked off with two post it notes, and using a torn piece of paper, inked the background. Adding white, yellow and green spots to give the impression of a meadow. The bluebells were coloured with the vivid blue and Marvy in light olive.
I used
Stamps by Local King
Crafty Individuals ( trees) and Tim Holtz ( splatter from Bitty Grunge)
Distress inks and Vivid (mini) in Sky Blue

A little catch up at home here...
Hubby and I are on a House of Cards fest ATM, every night one or two episodes, it's from Netflix. Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright are very good in it but play ruthless characters, we are really enjoying all the intrigue! We have to pause it quite a lot and help each other remember all the manoeuvrings behind the scenes, I guess there's a lot of poetic license here (I hope there is!!!)
Lovely to see you :D Drop by again soon, hugs Gay x

Sentiment stamp, Papertrey Ink, Signature greetings.

Mojo missing lately:( Not so good!!
I don't know about you but I can't wait for the summer! We've had a taste of sun and warmth, it was delicious, some more please :D
