Less is More.... one layer ;-D

Hi there, I hope all is good with you? We have been spoiled lately with wonderful weather but it's raining on and off today so I decided to have a crafty afternoon, it's good to be playing again!
So I just wanted to share my quick card for LIM where this week the challenge is to make a one layer card with a coloured base. I chose black!
Edited: I made a silly mistake and 'black' is not on the coloured card list duh!! silly me!!

This could be quite a tricky challenge, working with a dark base you have to be able to make a lighter image, luckily I have a great ink pad > Brilliance, moonlight white :D

I used a mask and inked through it and coloured with various Copic pens

Thank you for dropping by, I hope you have a great weekend, hugs Gay x
Supplies:D I bought mine from the Craft Barn
Imagination Crafts, Dragonflies Poppies mask
Moonlight White Brilliance ink pad
White pen

Absolutely gorgeous card Gay, I love how you've done the flowers. (but am I going to be the only party pooper and say you weren't supposed to use black - mind you I wouldn't worry about it, one of Chrissie's cards isn't even one layer! Guffaw!). xx

Beautiful Gay. Snap.......I made mine on kraft card til I read the instructions again! Still posted it as I thought I'd got more than enough colour on it...... Your card is beautiful and I don't think it would look so sensational done on another colour.

I don't think it matters that you chose black - it's simply stunning! I MUST give that technique a try (although I doubt mine will look half as good!)

I'm sorry black is a neutral, apparently. No matter, Gay, this card is a total winner in my book and it's being saved in the winner folder! I shall be trying this; I have that white ink. I'm drooling over the effect you achieved of pink blossoms shimmering in the moonlight!!

I'm so glad you made a mistake with your card base colour choice Gay, otherwise we wouldn't have got to see this absolutely stunning card. I love masks and think I need to seek this one out because it's a beauty and your skill shows it off to perfection.
